This is the biennial meeting of the Steering Committee of the
Global Investigative Journalism Network, whose member organizations assemble at each Global Investigative Journalism Conference. The meeting is open, but voting will be limited to a single representative from each of GIJN's member organizations.
The Global Network is the world’s premier international association of investigative reporting organizations. GIJN's membership includes 91 nonprofits and NGOs in 41 countries. Its missions include sponsoring the Global Investigative Journalism Conference, regional conferences, trainings and workshops, and promoting best practices in investigative and data journalism.
GIJN was founded in 2003 when more than 300 journalists gathered for the second Global Investigative Journalism Conference in Copenhagen. For more information on GIJN's background, see
our website. An
agenda for the meeting has been posted. A
Report to GIJN Steering Committee by Provisional Secretariat details progress by GIJN's management arm since its launch in 2012.
